Fernando Gimeno is a Composer and Audio Director based in West London, working across film, games, and interactive media.
He has composed music for a wide range of independent productions. His credits include The Girl with the Fork (dir. Ignacio Maiso), winner of Best Thriller Feature at the New York International Film Awards, and Izzy Aman: The Joy of Drag (dir. Isabella Walton), an official selection at the FILMPRIDE Festival. His work has also featured in festivals such as the Premios Pávez, Flatpack Festival, and Midlands Movies Awards.
Fernando’s musical voice blends orchestral writing with contemporary and global influences, shaped by a performance background spanning fusion jazz, bossa nova, and pop. His work combines expressive acoustic textures with modern production, often focusing on character, pacing, and emotional detail.
As a guitarist, he has performed internationally with artists including James Blunt, Nek, and Blas Cantó, and has collaborated with bossa nova pioneer Jayme Marques. His performance career spans intimate jazz ensembles to large touring and function bands, including The Malasaña Big Band.
Fernando studied Jazz Guitar at Música Creativa in Madrid and holds an MMus in Composition for Film and Television from the London College of Music. Alongside his creative work, he leads the music publications catalogue at the London College of Music Examinations and regularly lectures at Kingston University London on narrative and sound design for games.
